A long time ago them Freaks built a bridge with Chicago. It was a long Freaky bridge that absorbed a whole community of weirdoes. They joined forces and built a fort under the banner of Music for Freaks. The fort was built to protect them from the normals - but also a place to build an army of as-sociated miscreants that would slowly begin their attack on the offending world of bland dance music. The army grew - and Freaks took to the road - leaving a trail of madness in their wake. Among these weirdoes was a lone man that spent most of his life underground. Known to most as Weaver, the man who lived underground occasionally appeared above ground. Above ground he was know as 012. He would also travel the world unleashing his funk on common folk. Flying the freak flag. As the years went on the Freaks grew older and spent their time re-gathering. 012 occasionally joined forces with his family and shot disco rays at offending “normal,” - but all the while he was toiling in his lab. The lab he created was inspired by years of watching Weird Science, formulating a plan, experimenting, but to no avail. Then one day, after returning from the shops with a carton of milk, he accidentally tripped and spilt the carton into his science machine. The machine shook and popped - and then came an all mighty bang. And low and behold BERTHA was born. Bertha brings you her funk weapon in the form of Huzzah - from Chicago via the Freaky transatlantic bridge - the jam hits you right on the butt, making you do nothing but dance. The Freaky army enlisted Sheffield's very own funky weirdo, thatmanmonkz to join forces and Double Bang - Music For Freaks does what it does best. Fresh funk for weirdoes.
