Paulo Tessuto doesn't just play records; he orchestrates cultural movements. Emerging from São Paulo's fertile underground in 2008, Tessuto quickly established himself as a prominent force in the electronic scene, securing a foundational residency at the legendary D-Edge club from 2010 to 2015. His sound is a fluid, unpredictable tapestry that shifts seamlessly between techno, house, acid, and electro. Known for his hypnotic, risk-taking sets, Tessuto crafts sonic journeys designed to challenge conventions and create deep, singular connections with the dancefloor. In 2011, Tessuto launched Carlos Capslock, an itinerant party that would go on to shape a whole generation of Brazilian clubbers and promoters. What started as a nomadic squat party series to fund social initiatives grew into an iconic cultural phenomenon. Rooted deeply in a philosophy of freedom, artistic expression, and LGBTQ+ ball culture, Carlos Capslock became a safe haven for aesthetic and political subversion. Often performing in drag, Tessuto uses the party to playfully yet fiercely smash outdated gender, sex, and cultural norms. Beyond the fun and the madness, Tessuto has consistently championed access to the arts. From hosting electronic music workshops for lower-income communities during his 14-hour free parties to building community libraries out of party-ticket donations, his activism remains as loud as his basslines. When he isn't behind the decks or organising movements, Tessuto is a prolific producer and alongside fellow artist L_cio, he co-runs the respected MEMNTGN imprint.
