Phil Weeks

Phil Weeks is a French DJ, producer, and label owner regarded as a house music purist - his productions lean on classic hardware (Akai's MPC 3000, Roland's TR-909) to recreate a Chicago-inspired sound with French flair. He founded Robsoul Recordings in 2000 as an outlet for his own material, and its early releases, "Yeah I Like It" and "It Put Me Well," became instant classics. Robsoul has since grown into one of house music's most respected independent labels, featuring artists including Derrick Carter, DJ Sneak, and Hector Moralez (with whom Weeks collaborates as Fries & Bridges). With over 250 tracks and remixes released since his 2000 debut - including on labels like Music For Freaks, 2020 Vision, and his own Robsoul - Weeks has released three solo albums: Yeah I Like That (2003), Love Affair (2011), and Raw Instrumental (2012).
