Luciano
Born in Switzerland in 1978 and raised in Santiago, Chile, Luciano fell under the spell of Detroit techno pioneers like Juan Atkins as a teenager, spinning records in Chilean rock clubs where his early sets weren't always welcomed. He played to thousands at Santiago's Love Parade at 21 before moving to Europe to study sound engineering, eventually settling into a residency at Geneva's Weetamix club - a night he still runs today, since 1994. In 2001, he joined the Cocoon family in Ibiza, and in 2003 he founded Cadenza Records with his sister Amelie designing the label's logo and artwork, a role she continues to this day. Cadenza has since released iconic work from artists including Ricardo Villalobos, becoming a cornerstone label for Latin-infused house and techno. Luciano has also recorded the Fabric 41 mix and an Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1, and remains closely tied to Ibiza through his long-running Vagabundos parties and a residency at Circoloco.
