Javi Bora is a Spanish DJ and producer, born in the Balearic Islands and based between Ibiza and Mallorca, who spent a decade as the official resident DJ at Space Ibiza - one of the island's most storied venues. His deep house and tech-house sets draw on funk, jazz, Latin, and African influences, shaped by early exposure to classic 90s house from labels like Siesta and Tango, and producers including Chez Damier, Todd Terry, and Armand Van Helden. He's been nominated three times for Best Artist of the Year at the Vicious Music Awards, and his productions - released on labels including Defected, Toolroom, elrow Music, and Robsoul - have earned support from major names such as Carl Cox, Laurent Garnier, Loco Dice, and John Digweed, along with several Beatport #1s. He founded his own label, Too Many Rules, in 2018, and has crafted official remixes for artists including Kerri Chandler, Dennis Ferrer, and Roger Sanchez.
