Freaks = Justin Harris & Luke Solomon — label founders

Freaks is the production duo behind Music For Freaks: Justin Harris and Luke Solomon, who met in London in the early '90s and began releasing music together from 1996. Their breakout single "The Creeps (You're Giving Me)" became a major underground hit, and a later remix reached the UK Top 10 via Data Records. Over three studio albums — The Beat Diaries (2000), Meanwhile, Back at the Disco... (2001), and The Man Who Lived Underground — Freaks built a reputation for left-field, boundary-pushing house that never quite sat where anyone expected. They founded Music For Freaks in 1999 as a home for their own material and for the wider community of "misfits and innovators" they felt aligned with. A final Freaks album arrived in 2014, closing out one chapter, though both Harris and Solomon have remained active — together and separately — ever since.
